We love being a wedding stationery store in Denver Colorado. We get to see so many cool interpretations on the Colorado mountain wedding. We love how the couple’s wedding style can transform a well loved wedding venue into something all their own. We’ve compiled some of our favorite wedding looks for this season and paired them with wedding invitations made by yours truely.
Woodsy Rustic Colorado Mountain Wedding
party | dress | favor | invitation | cake
One of our all time favorite interpretations of the Colorado mountain wedding is the woodsy rustic approach. This laid back vibe embraces our favorite thing about the mountains, trees (wood grain pattern is a must!), a camp fire with s’mores, and having fun with family and friends.
Our favorite wedding invitation pairing with this look is all about texture. This mountain wedding invitation is adhered to real wood, giving it a nice weight and sophistication. The tag tied with bakers twine is a fun interactive element for guests, as well as a budget friendly option for brides who need just a few more details printed.
Indie Rustic Mountain Wedding
dress | invitation | party | cake | favors
There is something so whimsical about a rustic indie inspired wedding. We just can’t get enough! Maybe it’s because it speaks to our Free People loving souls. Mismatched bridesmaid dresses is a must and flowers flowers everywhere.
These indie rustic wedding invitations are all about simplicity with a touch of playfulness. The envelope liner adds dimension without overshadowing the main invitation. The little icons on the insert card are a fun visual to let guests know wedding details, and the kraft envelope keeps it rustic and grounded.
Rustic Elegant Colorado Wedding
Getting married in the mountains of Colorado doesn’t always mean you have to wear your cowgirl boots. Getting married in Aspen or Vail? Guests can still wear cocktail or black tie to dress up that mountain backdrop. With this look, location and invitations tell your guests what to expect.
Our trick to achieving the perfect rustic elegant wedding invitation is in the printing method and paper quality. These particular invitations have gold foil, black letterpress and edge painting that make for a real stunner. The wood grain design is subtle and says “yes we’re getting married in the mountains, but we won’t be camping afterwards. So bring your best little black dress and lets toast with champagne while we dance the night away.”
Industrial Rustic Colorado Wedding
Getting married in downtown Denver at a super cool industrial rustic site like Blanc? Or maybe your style is generally more playful, modern and a touch edgy. We love how visually interesting all these details add up to be and your guests will love it too.
To get such vibrant colors with a large coverage area, printing digital is the best way to go. It gives you the freedom to have as many colors as you like without any additional printing costs. This particular geometric invitation was printed on cotton paper for added softness and sophistication. Trust us, if you haven’t felt cotton paper yet, it’s so yummy that you’ll never want to put it down.
Classic Traditional Mountain Wedding
Planning a timeless wedding? Whether you’re an east coast girl recently relocated to the Rocky Mountains, or you are naturally drawn to classic details, we’ll help you still love your wedding invitations 25+ years down the road.
Thermography printing is a beautiful and timeless printing method at a very affordable price point. We love how this classic grey wedding invitation has the traditional element of an all script font, but with an updated style. It doesn’t feel stuffy and will stand the test of time and yearly wedding trends. The subtle mountain motifs on the additional inserts keep the main invitation classic, while tying in a mountain setting overall on the invitation.
Whatever your Colorado mountain wedding style or invitation budget, we have all options. We love being a part of your wedding and helping you interpret your wedding paper style.
We have spring fever here at wordshop and what better way to add fuel to our fire by sharing a gorgeous wedding with ya. This downtown Denver wedding will make all your dreams come true with it’s sweet floral arrangements, gorgeous petal inspired wedding dress, classic urban feel and of course two people who madly love each other. You can practically feel the joy radiating from these photos. Working with them was a dream. We love how playful their rehearsal dinner invitations were with casual fonts and a great modern skyline. Since their wedding leaned more traditional, we kept a more classic feel for the main invitation. These beauties were thermography printed in grey ink on super thick ivory embossed square paper. Perfection. Thank you Jen & Chris for letting us be a part of your special day.

We love a good mountain wedding. It’s the bread and butter of what we do and we never tire of its beauty. The wedding of Colleen and Matthew at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Tabernash Colorado is a gem. We love how sophisticated and timeless they wanted their invitations to be, while still including rustic elements such as the wood veneer invitation backer and kraft paper envelopes. Take note 2016 brides… because this look never goes out of style!
